Trip to Geneva

Greetings from Geneva! In January, I organized a three-day trip to Switzerland for 50 students of the VDE Karlsruhe campus group. We visited the United Nations Office and the International Red-Cross Museum and enjoyed sunny days in Geneva.

At CERN, we obtained an insight into nuclear research and the powerful particle accelerators and detectors, scientists used to prove the existence of Higgs bosons there.

On our way home, we visited ABB in Turgi and learned a lot about electric motors and railway electronics.
